Pointless retail day

Our internet was down, making it impossible for me to do any work at all. Very annoying, so I went out to replace my ruined jeans. I got one skirt, one camisole top, one vest top and a curious kind of loose jacket I find interesting even though it's a bit big, and totally the wrong colour for me.

Might work over a pink camisole top and black trousers - which is of course why I ended up buying a long pink skirt. I resisted the pineapple dress of doom:

Now this is apparently a Heidi Klum label thing, retailing at £280, dropped to £60 in a charity shop. I love the print, but wonder if the effect isn't a bit curtain-ish, especially when it's billowing everywhere in 1812 fashion. Most of the men I know are a bit odd about empire line; one would expect it to be popular, enhancing the bosom and battening down on a world of hidden chocolate desserts, but apparently this is not the case.

To make matters more mysterious, it has these two bits of cloth attached at the bust to be tied there or to make the dress a halter top. So it's convertible... seldom a good idea for a dress, IMHO. If the designer doesn't know how it should look, I've no chance.

Jeans? never got them. I can't shop for long, it hurts my head. We're back online, now that I'm too tired to do anything other than wonder what the hell I'm doing.

I am with you on the pineapples. And Empire Line.

Very much liking your jacket.

Showed Larians the pictures of the pineapple dress, and he thinks it's pretty! I am confused...it's a style he normally detests vociferously!

The jacket's from Noa Noa, a brand I usually avoid for its neutral do-me-no-favour tones . I'm glad you like it too - I'm quite taken with it.
